tutorial: make an embroidered flower brooch

It's been awhile since I posted a tutorial for you lovely ladies, so here's how I make embroidered flower brooches! They would make a beautiful accessory for your wedding day, either pinned on your bodice, into your train or bustle or even as a hair clip.

To make this project you'll need:

  • Craft or crinoline netting (I'm using white, slightly sparkly netting)
  • Matching or contrasting beads for the center of the flower
  • Sewing machine thread (feel free to use metallic thread too!)
  • Decorative cord or yarn
  • Scissors, needles, pen, brooch pin or hair clip
And not shown, but also neccessary... a sewing machine capable of free-motion embroidery. As long as you can drop the feed dogs on your machine - you can do it!

You'll get the full how-to on Monday - so stay tuned!
